Fashion Week

So we hit London again for Fashion Week. This time round I didn't spend as much time in Somerset House as I should of done, partially put off with people trying to hard and making themselves look like idiots, so this was more of a fun shopping trip. Still I enjoy the atmosphere and meeting new faces.

Fab Ciraola

Chilean born illustrator creates these amazing master pieces full of colour and fantasy.
I'm in love with his work of mixing the old with the modern and incorporating pop-icons from the past and giving them a 'hipster' look. Wish I had skills like this.

Beetlejuice

Charlie Chaplan

Princess Diana

Mother Teresa

Marilyn Monroe

Cocktails

Well I don't know about you but I LOVE cocktails especially fruity and fancy ones.
Now this one has caught my eye, easy to make but to make it work you need a black light, which I don't have, but it does look pretty.
The Campus Companion (The party lab) has came up with this creation based on the Aurora Borealis and named it 'Jungle Juice'.
Here's the recipe:

WHAT YOU NEED

2 liters Gin or Vodka
9 Liters Tonic Water
3-4 Bottles Roses Mojito Passion, OR 3-4 Canisters of Pink-Lemonade Concentrate
Ice
INSTRUCTIONS

Mix all ingredients together shortly before the party begins.
Add ice as late as possible before drinking.

Rookie

After Tavi Gevinson's launch of her e-zine Rookie, which reminds me alot of the print magazine 'Oh Comely' but aimed at adolescents, she is now releasing a book. This quirky style is being transferred to print! The debut issue will be called Rookie: Yearbook One and will feature the best content from the 'school year' spanning September 2011 to May 2012. The book will be full of Sonja Ahler's collages, Tavi's doodles and extras like a Meadham Kirchoff paper crown and a disc of previously unpublished contributions.
For some reason I really want this. It will be released online in September or in few bookstores. Hopefully the next trip to London fashion week I might find it along with a few more magazines to add to my collection.

Where is the sun?

Well so far summer is non-existent here in Newcastle. The other week I got trapped in traffic for 6 hours trying to get home from work as a huge storm hit. To be honest I love storms, I find it very calming watching the thunder and lightning. But we still have had no sun.......I think I need a holiday!

Mirror, Mirror - Chanel

Came across this beauty of a film which was imagined by Peter Phillips, the Creative Director of Chanel Make-Up, to showcase Chanel's reinvented Rouge Allure lipstick line
It has an amazing kaleidoscope effect which is almost hypnotizing along with a Indian soundtrack.
Ever wanted to dip your face in crystals?
